Salita Sombatsiri, a former Ph.D. student, received the Best Paper Award of IPSJ Transactions on System LSI Design Methodology on Aug. 28, 2019. The title of the awarded paper is “Parallelism-flexible Convolution Core for Sparse Convolutional Neural Networks on FPGA”.
We have five guests from Shanghai Jiao Tong University on Aug. 9th, Prof. Minyi Guo, Prof. Jingwen Leng, Prof. Wenli Zheng, Prof. Chao Li, and Prof. Quan Chen. Prof. Yu gave a presentation about Hashimoto Lab., and Mr. Zheng gave a research presentation about approximation computing for neural networks.
Mr. Taiyu Cheng gave a presentation entitled with “Minimizing Power for Neural Network Training with Logarithm-Approximate Floating-Point Multiplier” in 29th International Symposium on Power and Timing Modeling, Optimization and Simulation (PATMOS) held in Rhodes, Greece, from July 1st to 3rd, 2019.
